maintain our schedule in a timely fashion. We would certainly appreciate
your being in time for scheduled appointments. Cancellation must
be made 24 hours in advance.
You pay a major role in helping us to stay on schedule. If you are
running late, please phone before you come, as we may ask you to
reschedule your appointment so that our other patients are not inconvenienced.
Late patients can be seen on a “time available basis”.
We do our best to stay on schedule, but emergencies may sometimes
cause unexpected delays.
New patients, please arrive 15 minutes prior your appointment time
so that we may obtain your billing information.
At each visit, please bring your insurance card with you. Inform
the front desk staff of any change in name, address, telephone number
or insurance.
The office phone is answered 24 hours a day.
The receptionist usually answers from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Thursday
and until noon on Friday.
At other times you will reach the answering system, so please try
to call for appointments and questions during office hours. Please,
have a pharmacy number ready anytime you call our office.
Emergency calls are handled at any time. If you have an emergency
during office hours, please tell the front desk and they will alert
nurses. At night time one of seven physicians is on call at all
times.
Our front office staff is ready to assist you in scheduling an
appointment with the physicians.
To schedule an appointment, please call our office 713-797-9498
and explain the reason for your visit. This allows us to schedule
appropriate time as needed. Usually, the front desk staff will answer
your routine questions pertaining to fees, insurance benefits, and
financial arrangements.
Typical office visit
For all patients the visit begins with vital signs and a brief discussion
with a nurse or medical assistant, then you will meet with your
physician to review your medical history. Next will be your physical
exam and Pap smear if indicated.
Your physician will then discuss his/her finding and possible further
tests, labs, and/or treatments if indicated.
For returning patients we will ask to fill out a yearly review of
systems, and then proceed with exam and treatments.
Test/Lab results
We will let you know when test and laboratory results will be available.
If your results are normal, we will not call you. You will receive
prompt notification of any results that require immediate attention.
If at any time you have additional questions, feel free to make
an appointment with the doctor, or speak to our medical staff by
phone.
Payment for service and insurance
Payment is expected at the time of the service.
We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard (credit and debit cards).
If our physician is contracted with your insurance company, you
will need to pay your co-pay at the time of your visit. This amount
will be indicated on your insurance card. We will then file your
insurance claim. However, payment for the account remains you responsibility.
If you have insurance that we are not contracted with, you will
be asked to make payment in full and need to file your own insurance
claim.
Please maintain your account with our office in good standing. Should
your account become delinquent over 90 days, your account will be
turned over to an outside collection agency. This will have a negative
affect on your credit history.
